Check the followings.
- Is the driver software installed?
For the installation procedure, check the Operating Instructions. The driver software and the Operating Instructions can be downloaded from the support page.
- Is the DDJ-1000 recognized on your computer?
Check that the DDJ-1000 firmware version is displayed with the following procedures.
-Mac OS: Open the Apple menu while pressing the [option] key and then select [System Profiler...] > [Hardware] > [USB].
-Window 10: Click the Start button > [Pioneer] > [DDJ-1000 Settings Utility].
-Windows 8.1: Click [Apps View] > [Pioneer] > [DDJ-1000 Settings Utility].
-Window 7: Click [Start] menu > [All Programs] > [Pioneer] > [DDJ-1000] > [DDJ-1000 Settings Utility].
- Is the USB cable connected correctly?
⇒ Connect the computer and the DDJ-1000 with the supplied USB cable.
- Isn't a USB hub being used?
⇒ A USB hub cannot be used. Be sure to connect the unit to the computer's USB port.
- Aren't other applications running?
Close all applications including the screen-saver and resident software.
(When closing virus security software, etc., be sure that the Internet connection is disconnected before closing the software to ensure computer security.)
- Is a USB device other than the DDJ-1000 connected to the computer?
Disconnect any external hard disks, keyboards and other USB devices.
- If the computer has multiple USB ports, try another USB port.
- Check the sound settings on the computer.
[Windows]
Reset sound settings.
(1) Connect DDJ-1000 to your computer and turn the power on.
Go [Control Panel] - [Hardware and Sound] and click [Sound].
(2) If DDJ-1000 is set as "Default Device", go to (3).
(3) Choose sound device other than DDJ-1000 and click "Set as Default Device".
Close the window by clicking "OK".
(4) Close the control panel and restart your computer.
[Mac]
Reload Audio MIDI settings.
(1) Connect DDJ-1000 to your computer and turned it power on.
(2) Open [Applications] folder, [Utilities] folder and [Audio MIDI Setup.app].
(3) [Audio Devices] window opens. Confirm that [Audio MIDI Setup] is displayed on Menu bar.
Click [Window] and choose [Show MIDI Studio] or [Show MIDI Window]. (The displayed name depends on OS version.)
(4) When [MIDI Studio] window opens, click [DDJ-1000] icon. When the icon turns to blue, click [Remove Device].
"DDJ-1000" icon disappears and comes back again.
(5) Close [Audio MIDI Setup] and turn off the power of the DDJ-1000.
(6) Turn on the power of the DDJ-1000 and run rekordbox.
