We apologize for the confusion with the activation of your license key on your rekordbox software.
With the launch of rekordbox 6, we have reviewed the structure of our software usage mode. While you used to activate your rekordbox license key on rekordbox ver. 5 software, you won’t be able to activate license keys on the newest versions of rekordbox (ver. 6 and 7) with that same license key as the latest versions of rekordbox only offer subscription plans.
Please note that rekordbox ver. 5 and the latest versions of the software are two separate programs and will not work together.
If you have a rekordbox license key (dj, dvs, video) bundled with your DJ unit, you can activate it on rekordbox ver. 5, or use your device as a Hardware Unlock device on rekordbox ver. 6 or ver. 7, so without activating your license key.
Please check our list of Hardware Unlock devices for version 6 and version 7 of rekordbox, as they might differ.
If you wish to use your DJ unit with rekordbox ver. 5
- download rekordbox ver. 5;
- and you’ll be ready to activate your license key directly on your rekordbox software.
If you wish to use your Hardware Unlock device with rekordbox ver. 6
- download rekordbox ver. 6;
- and connect your device to automatically unlock the Performance mode of the software.
If you wish to use your Hardware Unlock device with rekordbox ver. 7
- download rekordbox ver. 7;
- and connect your device to automatically unlock the Performance mode of the software.
