If you think there is a problem, first check the following.
1. Is the driver software installed?
With Mac OS X, you do not need to install driver software.
With Windows, download the latest driver software and then install it.

2. Are the DDJ-RX firmware and rekordbox the latest versions?

3. Are USB devices other than DDJ-RX connected to the computer?
Turn off the power of DDJ-RX while the USB devices other than DDJ-RX are disconnected, close rekordbox, and then turn on the power of DDJ-RX. After the DDJ-RX startup illumination completes, start rekordbox.
4. Are the controls and switches of DDJ-RX set appropriately?
