I do not want to output the sound of the computer's program events (warning sounds, etc.). Is there a way to prevent this?

Yes, by changing the computer's settings.

Windows

At the control panels' sound settings, turn off all the program event sound settings.

Mac OS X

At the "System Preferences" – "Sound" panel, set the sound effect playing device to something other than DJM-900nexus.
