1. Are headphones connected to the [PHONES] jack?

Connect headphones.

2. Is the [HEADPHONES] [LEVEL] control set to “-∞”?

Adjust the [LEVEL] control.

3. Is the [CUE] button for the channel you want to monitor pressed?

Press the [CUE] button for the channel you want to monitor.

4. Is the channel level meter for the channel you want to monitor lit?

Adjust the TRIM control so that the channel level meter lights.

(There is no level meter for [LINK CUE] or [BEAT EFFECTS CUE]. For [LINK CUE], see “Using the link monitor function” in the “Advanced Operations” section of the operating instructions. For [BEAT EFFECTS CUE], see “Effect types” the operating instructions.)

5. Is the volume balance set with the [MIXING] control appropriate?

Set the [MIXING] control to the [CUE] side when channel [CUE] is selected, to the [MASTER] side or to the center when MASTER [CUE] is selected.
