There are three possible causes.
1. If the audio input level is too high or too low, it may not be possible to properly measure the BPM. Adjust the [TRIM] control so that the channel level indicator lights up to about [0 dB] when the input sound is at its peak level.
2. For some tracks the BPM cannot be measured properly. In this case, use the [TAP] button to input the BPM manually.
3. When this unit is connected by LINK connection to a Pioneer DJ player supporting the PRO DJ LINK function (e.g. CDJ-2000nexus, CDJ-2000 or CDJ-900), also check the items below.
3-a. Is a DJ player supporting the PRO DJ LINK function connected to the same input channel
as the currently playing device?
It could be that the BPM information is being acquired from the DJ player via the LINK connection.
Either connect the playback device to a different input channel from the DJ player,
disconnect the DJ player’s LINK cable (or turn it’s power off),
or use the [TAP] button to input the BPM manually.
3-b. Is the BPM displayed on the DJ player’s display section?
If the BPM cannot be measured on the DJ player, the BPM cannot be displayed on this unit.
In this case, use the [TAP] button to input the BPM manually.
