This unit can convert the tempo information (BPM) into MIDI timing clocks and send this to the EFX-1000. Also, the EFX-1000 is equipped with a mode for applying effects in sync with the MIDI timing clocks input from external devices.

By using these functions together, effects applied with the EFX-1000 can be operated with the tempo displayed on this unit's BPM counter.
