Updating cannot be performed normally if 2-byte characters are used for the name of the folder into which the downloaded file was copied (the same is true if 2-byte characters are used for the name of a folder at a level above the folder into which the downloaded file was copied).

To update, either unzip the downloaded file onto the desktop or copy it into a folder whose name only uses 1-byte English letters or numbers and update from there.
