You can send the sound to an external FX unit or a mobile device running an FX application. You can also change the route of the returned sound.
■ When selecting [USB] or [1/4" JACK]
When [1/4" JACK] is selected, audio signals are input/output from the MULTI I/O terminals on the rear panel in the same way as other DJ mixers.
When [USB] is selected, audio signals are input/output from the USB port to the upper right of the touch display. This allows you to use FX applications supporting Inter App Audio on iOS devices, such as RMX-1000 for iPad.
■ When selecting [INSERT] or [CH2/CH5]
If [INSERT] is selected, the audio of the selected channel is completely switched to the post-effect sound from the external FX unit. For example, if [1] is selected for the [CH SELECT] switch, the sound from the device connected to channel 1 will be output to the external FX unit, and the audio returned from the FX unit will be input to channel 1.
If [CH2/CH5] is selected, the sound of the selected channel is output to the external FX unit, and the audio returned from the external FX unit is input to channel 2 or channel 5. For example, if the [CH SELECT] switch selects [1] and the channel 2 input selector switch selects [MULTI I/O], the sound from the device connected to channel 1 will be output to the external FX unit, and the sound returned from the external FX unit will be input to channel 2.
Since the original sound of the device connected to channel 1 is input to channel 1, you can adjust the balance between the original sound and the post-effect sound by using the channel 1 and channel 2 faders.
