BPM & Tempo functions

Tempo (BPM) isn't measured properly. Why not?

The factors that can cause this vary depending on how you use the unit.
■ When you connect the unit with audio cables only
When the audio input level is too high or too low, the BPM value may not be measured. As a guide, adjust the [TRIM] knob so the channel level indicator lights up with the peak level at around [0] dB.
Depending on the track, the BPM value may not be measured correctly. In this case, use the [TAP] button to manually enter the BPM value.
■ When you connect the unit to the PRO DJ LINK network (via LAN cables)
When you connect the unit to the PRO DJ LINK network, the BPM of the multi-player is displayed on the DJM-A9. In this case, the [PLAYER No.] of the multi-player and the connected channel number must match.
If you can't change the [PLAYER No.] during playback or the BPM isn't displayed on the multi-player, manually enter it with the [TAP] button on the DJM-A9.
For details, see the PRO DJ LINK Setup Guide.
